Women in Tech & Entrepreneurship – Ft Myers October Happy Hour

Join us for a casual monthly gathering of high-performing, non-conforming women. Our mission is to resource women in technology and entrepreneurship with near-peer mentorship, educational opportunities, and a support network. Over the last 4 years, we’ve supported over 16,000 guests across 70 countries through 300+ free of cost networking events, webinars, and workshops. Our monthly happy hours serve as an opportunity for members and interested guests to connect, build relationships, discuss industry challenges, and chart the way ahead.
This month, we’re teaming up with our friends at Tech Alliance of SWFL for a special Halloween Happy Hour at The Collaboratory! Come in costume if you’d like — festive attire is encouraged but absolutely not required — and feel free to bring a favorite dish or drink to share for our optional potluck. We’ll also be building a Tech & Business Graveyard, a Halloween-themed networking activity where guests can write down something in business or tech they think deserves to be “buried,” then browse the graveyard and leave ideas for how the idea could be brought back better — or simply declare, “Keep it buried!” It’s a quick, playful way to spark conversations, swap ideas, and make new connections across both communities.
Venue Spotlight: The Collaboratory
Where big problems meet bigger ambitions — and the whole community shows up to solve them. The Collaboratory is Southwest Florida’s community foundation on a mission unlike any other: tackle every major social challenge in the region by 2040. Not some of them. All of them. Since 1976, they’ve awarded over $132 million in grants, built coalitions around workforce development, housing, and community health, and created a space where donors, nonprofits, and change-makers can align around shared goals and actually get things done. From scholarships that open doors for students to the FutureMakers Coalition strengthening the education-to-career pipeline, The Collaboratory doesn’t just talk about impact — they measure it, report it, and keep pushing. Our kind of energy, our kind of space.
PS: To keep our membership and events FREE, food and drinks at this event will be potluck style. Bring your favorite dish or beverage, or if you’re short on time just bring yourself! Want to sponsor this event (and treat the crew)? Reach out to us at sponsorships@wte.network!
