Create Your 6 Month Marketing Roadmap: Stop Guessing, Start Growing

September 30 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
Stop guessing at marketing tactics. Work with our expert to build a strategic roadmap tied to your growth goals, budget, and business.

A new social channel. A podcast. SEO. Paid ads. Email marketing. AI-generated content.

When you’re building a business, there is no shortage of people—or algorithms—telling you what you should be doing to market it. But without a clear strategy behind those tactics, founders can spend valuable time and money creating a lot of activity without creating meaningful growth.

A pile of tactics is not a marketing plan.

Join Women in Tech & Entrepreneurship (WTE) and senior marketing strategist Cynthia Plunkett, Founder of CP Marketing + Co., for a hands-on startup marketing workshop designed to help founders step out of reactive marketing mode and build a strategic roadmap around where their business actually needs to go.

Rather than starting with “Should I be on TikTok?” or “Do I need to invest in SEO?”, you’ll start with the questions that should come first. Using a companion marketing worksheet and a real SaaS business example, Cynthia will guide you through a three-part framework—Current State, Desired State, and Strategic Marketing Plan—while you apply each step to your own business in real time.

You’ll leave with more than ideas. You’ll leave with the foundation of a 3–6 month marketing roadmap you can start acting on this week.

Together, we’ll work through how to:

  • Assess your current marketing strategy, customers, competitive landscape, and gaps before investing in another tactic
  • Clarify your ideal customer, their pain points, and the people involved in their buying decisions
  • Define what “growth” actually means for your stage of business
  • Translate revenue and customer targets into measurable SMART marketing goals
  • Build a focused 3–6 month marketing roadmap instead of chasing disconnected campaigns
  • Determine what you should do yourself, what AI can accelerate, and when a contractor or specialist makes sense
  • Create a clear marketing brief that gives agencies, freelancers, contractors, or AI tools the context they need to execute effectively
  • Measure what’s working so your next marketing decision is informed by evidence rather than guesswork

This Is a Working Session

Come prepared to work on your business, not just take notes about marketing.

Cynthia will walk through the framework using a healthcare SaaS company as a live example while attendees complete the same exercises for their own businesses using a companion worksheet.

We’ll move from:

Where are we now?Where are we trying to go?What marketing actually gets us there?

You’ll leave with your worksheet to continue refining after the session, including practical AI prompts you can use to research, draft, and execute against the strategy you’ve built.

Building Without a Big Marketing Team

You don’t need a full marketing department to become more strategic about growth.

We’ll explore how early-stage founders can combine their own expertise with AI tools, freelancers, contractors, and specialized partners to execute a thoughtful marketing plan without prematurely building an expensive internal team.

The goal isn’t to use every tool available. It’s to know what needs to be done, why you’re doing it, who or what should do it, and how you’ll know whether it worked.

This workshop is especially valuable for SaaS founders, consultants, professional services firms, startup founders, solopreneurs, and early-stage businesses that are ready to move beyond founder-led, ad hoc marketing and build a more repeatable path to growth.

Meet the Speaker

Cynthia Plunkett | Founder & Strategic Marketing Consultant | CP Marketing + Co.

Cynthia Plunkett is a senior marketing strategist and Founder of CP Marketing + Co. with nearly 15 years of experience helping businesses make smarter marketing decisions. After seeing companies repeatedly invest in channels, tools, and agencies before clearly defining what they were trying to accomplish, Cynthia developed an advisory approach that starts with the business itself: its goals, differentiators, customers, and opportunities. She then translates those insights into a strategic marketing roadmap and connects clients with vetted partners when specialized execution is needed. Her approach helps founders replace scattered tactics and costly guesswork with clarity, confidence, and a marketing strategy built around what their business actually needs to grow.
